This project is a single family residential development on a private road on Bowen Island. The owner will be constructing a carriage house first, and then adding a larger single family home in the future. His intention is to live in the carriage house with his family while their larger home is being constructed.
The septic system will be a Type 2 treatment system discharging to a seepage bed disposal field. To date the contractors have prepared a tank excavation, installed the 100mm PVC pipe from the future house location to the tank excavation, and installed the 50mm transport line from the tank excavation to the future field location.
Cleartech has completed percolation testing and hang dug test pits at the future seepage bed location, prepared the detailed design of the septic system, and filed the system with the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority. We will be working with the owner and his contractors during construction to ensure the finished system meets with our design requirements and the conditions of the filing.
